About project
Danse Café is a specialty coffee house on Sporgasse in Graz, with its own roasting line, Matissian Brews. Agencian drew a mark from a single dancing line — inspired by Matisse’s cut-outs — and carried it through cups, bags, menus and a small website, so the brand moves the same way at the counter as it does on a phone on the tram.

Challenges
A street full of cafés
Sporgasse has a coffee place every few doors; Danse had to be recognisable from across the street.
Café and roastery in one
The same brand had to sell a flat white at the counter and a 250 g bag of beans on the shelf.
Warm, not twee
Playful enough for a Matisse-inspired mark without sliding into a theme café.

One continuous line in the mark — it reads as a dancer, a pour of milk or a coffee ring, and customers see all three.
A single cobalt blue across cups, bags and menus, so every takeaway cup does the advertising.
Menus set like gallery labels: the item, what’s in it, the price. Nothing else to read at 7 am.
